Tanzania, more Mariga!!

We are going to tell you a little bit more about Mariga and their way to work.

About the Nature and Culture Tours, which we find really interesting, they “carefully select our cultural and tribal interactions in order to avoid mass tourist experiences or encounters that damange the local way of life. Whether you are coming for wildlife, mountains or beach experiences, you can maximise your time in Tanzania to interact with local culture and some physical geography like waterfalls, lakes and rivers”.

So, as we like, kind relationship with the local people, with respect to the nature and their culture.

For example, they know tribes as Chaga Tribe, which home is stablished in Materun and are known for being an ethical tribal village. As Mariga says, “It is just 16km from Moshi town and is the last village before the Kilimanjaro National Park”.

Once you are there, I typical trip would start with the visit to the waterfalls “which is around 40 minutes walk away and […] On the way, your guide will inform you about Chaga tradition in general and about the flora along the trail. You will be able to see the summit of Kilimanjaro, and when you reach the waterfalls you can spend some time to relax and take pictures”.

After that, another different experience that they offer you is a travel through the coffee cultivation, so they will teach you how it is“ cultivated, dried, roasted and processed further. You will also be able to participate in helping to grind the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chaga songs and dancing”.

What they usually include? IMPORTANT THINGS FOR A FIRST TRAVEL as the transport, entry fees or guides.

So, contact them, because it is a really worth experience.
